This is actually quite amazing. A coincidence, but still amazing.
Not really much of a coincidence. The ratio of consecutive terms in the Fibonacci sequence is approximately the golden ratio, which is about 1.618. The conversion from miles to kilometers is very close to 1.609. So if you start from a Fibonacci number of miles, convert exactly to km, then rounding off usually accounts for the error of (about 1.618)/1.609. The coincidence is that the miles to km conversion is what it is, but that part is old hat.



Looks good for a guy his age.
