That's easy. The ambulance will loose every time. Case in point, the small town I grew up in had a couple of fire trucks and one, maybe two ambulances. Some bright person had decided that the fire truck and the ambulance should take different routes when both were called out. I guess so that if one got hung up in traffic the other would still make it to the scene quickly. Routes were drawn up for each to follow to the various parts of town. Everything worked fine at first until one day when responding to a call the two paths crossed at an intersection. Just as the ambulance went into the intersection it was hit broadside by the fire truck. The impact rolled the ambulance and slid it into a power pole at the side of the road. Both occupants of the ambulance suffered critical injuries but did survive. The ambulance was totaled while the fire truck suffered only minor damage.
