Indeed. However, I have rarely met a dark beer I didn't like. On the other hand, while I have tried about a dozen of them before, I've never met an IPA I liked.
I have to admit, I have met one IPA that I liked. I don't remember where it came from. But then, I have met some dark beers that are too bitter.

My absolute favorite beer in the world was McEwan's Scotch Ale, which is quite dark, low on bitterness, and rather sweet.

They stopped making it, then brought it back due to customer demand, especially from North America. My family saw it in a store and bought me a pack when they brought it back, but I haven't seen any since. Their web site says they're making it, but I can't find any. :(

At last! Truth in advertising. The fine print says it all. "Hazy". Yuck.
I don't mind hazy per sé; it's just a matter of what it is that's hazy. I do like a nice hefeweizen now and then. Usually, if I want something light, it's good old Sam Adams Boston Lager. Yes, that's my idea of light. The Sam's scotch ale is the best McEwan's substitute I've found yet.

Budweiser would be better named Sudwasser.

But what is wrong with a good IPA?
I just do not like heavy hop flavor, whether it's bitter or fruity.

I actually am not overly bothered if others like IPA's, but this is the LOL thread so I'll poke some fun at them here. 🙃

Side note, I'm envious of your BOGO on Dragon's Milk. It's one of my favorites, but it's hard to come by here.

What would be a good object to use as the body tube to get that Diesel Punk shape?
It might have to be scratch made. Frame and skin. Laser cut ribs, thin stringers that can bend into position, and skin with strips of fabric that can take the compound curve. Harden the fabric with dope or thin CA, the fill and sand. Do the motor mount and passenger seat while the frame is still open. Cut away space for the window after the skin is hardened and before the fill and sand starts. There must be some clear plastics that are suitable for vacuum forming, so such a part could maybe be ordered from a custom shop, or maybe the material can be heated and shaped without the vacuum system of you just use a heat gun until it sags over a form.

I didn't even catch it at first, but then did a double take, went back two more times during the sale and got more. They also had the BA Red Ale. I picked up a few four packs on that as well put some in for cellaring and some in the fridge for immediate consumption.

Come to think of it, if there is a place to get custom vac forming, you could get the body done that way too, in two pieces.

Scotch ale .vs. Scottish ale:

Now days, they are simply 2 different beer styles. But waaaay back, they originated from the penny pinching nature of the Scots. When doing the run off of the mash, the first runnings were kept separate and fermented on their own. This resulted in a very strong, very malty beer. Then the mash was sparged and this resulted in a much thinner, lower alcohol beer. So the Scots got 2 batches of beer from the same grain. More typically in current times, the mash is all run off and sparged at once, giving a more middle of the road beer.

I suspect some craft breweries still do it the old way, but most start out with a recipe that is intended to be either one style or the other. I once made a traditional double run Scotch/Scottish pair.

I used to buy Belhaven Scottish ale. Very drinkable as a session ale.

Hans.
