Well I finished it up today, 5 days from start to finish which is a little long for me but still pretty quick...
Deviated from stock in a couple areas. First I did away with the piston in favor of dogbarf wadding and a heatshield, mainly because I wanted to install the extra rail buttons I had on it and I just couldn't stand the look of the 1/2" lugs on it.
The only other deviation was in the decal scheme PML had in the paperwork.
I was showing a friend at work the decal scheme and he said that it makes no sense, so I asked him what he meant. This friend by the way is in the air force reserves and loads these things onto jet fighters.
He told me that the Yellow stripe indicates a live or armed missile. The blue stripe on the other hand indicates a trainer missile, so the two together don't make sense. The bronze stripes indicate the propellant area or something like that.
So I did away with the blue stripes as most of the pictures I found on the net of live missiles on jets didn't have the blue stripes.
The Chrome stripe is somewhat of a mystery. I found two pictures on the internet that "appeared" to have this stripe or compartment all though they weren't the closest or most detailed pictures so it was hard to tell, all the close detailed pics I could find were absent the chrome area but I liked the way it looked so I left it on..
Well anyway here it is completed ...
