Anyone ever seen a 10 inch parachute packed with an Alpha III? Or a green 12 inch chute? IMG_20200308_003055920.jpeg

Interesting. I've just looked at several versions of Alpha III instructions and where it is called out it is always a 12 inch 'chute - either PK-12 or a pre-made 12 inches (later than the one in your image). Very early Electron Beam and early Porta-Pad II in the picture as well. Per catalogs, 1989-1992 for that combination of Alpha III livery, EB and PortaPad. The Alpha III went orange/black in 1993. Prior to 1989 a wide-leg Porta Pad was in the 1406 starter set. The yellow Porta-Pad II showed up in 1989.

I've gone thru ninfinger and the starter set looks to be late 1992 thru 1993, judging by the range box style and classic colour scheme. 1994 started the great pumpkin Alpha. As many Alpha III's as I've built in the last 42 years they've always had a orange or red 12 inch chute
