Standard animated GIFs paste and/or attach here just fine, like anything else. I've copy/pasted them from other sites with no issues.

Mine didn’t self animate but that was probably user error.

Howdy. Borrowing your thread for a couple of image posting experiments...

Hmmm. Ok, maybe let's try some image links.

Ok. I'll go away now. Thanks for the bandwidth.

For future reference (Notes to self...), both Drag / Drop and Upload a File offer the thumbnail v.s. full image option initially and invoke the little mini-image-browser which gives prev / next arrows to scroll through all the images in a post after first click. (I like that.) I can't really see a difference in the resulting post, i.e. there are two different methods to produce the same result. Given that, Drag / Drop is likely the easiest way to do it...

Linking through Google Photos is extra work as one needs to first upload then generate the link. And, you only get the size of image as stored on GF. (Not surprising.) No auto-generation of a thumbnail, etc.

Linking through Google Drive did not work. It is likely there is a bit more security involved with GD. Could maybe figure out a way to make it work, but I'm not sure it's worth it...

Grrrr. Sorry. One more I wanted to try: flickr. (Though, I expect if it works at all, it will add the flickr frame, etc.).
