Finally got a launch in this year!! Went from a three day to a one day launch due to area fire bans. Good thing we have backup site along with backup launch dates. Great weather, bit gusty mid day but not enough to shut things down.

Nice stuff David! I will save mine for Earthrise, with the exception of this one as I think it is a pretty cool failure.

What looked like a bj motor getting a rail stuck turned out to be a motor splitting the case wide open, and thrust vectoring out the side of the rocket, pushing over the pad.

Nice capture Bruce. Yah I think the nozzle got plugged and over pressured the case but interesting the case split on the side and not on top so maybe a prestressed casing...

At any rate, I’ve got to build another one. Hopefully no motor issues next time.
