Rocketry Tourist
2,500 mile round trip from Northern California to Alamogordo. Passed the Colorado and Rio Grande River, Continental Divide, and three states.
Weather was hot all three days I was there. Windy Friday and Saturday. Calm Sunday. Very pleasant after sundown. Saw many Rocketry Friends.
FLARE, SMRA, and NAR put on a well organized event, lots of fun.
Seven flights for me this weekend. One was a night flight. My Double Shot deployed its main at apogee and caught a thermal. Drift out sight and lost GPS lock over Alamogordo, RIP.
