Well I ended up making a deal and taking both kits home last night. I think I'll run a 54mm mmt in the Apache and 75mm mmt in the Smoke.

Yes, they are not FWFG but the older style laid up style glass. Fairly thick too. More of an olive color in person.

Yes, that's the style I had when I bought my Nike Smoke. That glass is rugged!

Definitely is! Did your kit include Ply or Glass rings? The kits I got have ply rings and one random glass ring for the Apache.

Definitely is! Did your kit include Ply or Glass rings? The kits I got have ply rings and one random glass ring for the Apache.

I had ply rings. I prefer plywood rings and bulkheads for holding the robust u bolts I use for beefy construction. Those techniques have saved the rocket from an early deployment when a Mach delay wasn’t set to a main chute deployment failure.
