Payload Duration Competition

DART is planning of flying the new provisional Payload Duration event for our next contest with D motors.

Has anyone competed in this event yet and have some pointers about what worked or didn't?

I've competed in CATO's Ping Pong duration contest years ago. We used B motors--tracking was big problem--those expensive Apogee motors went just a little too high to track--except for one filght! I came in 2nd with a B6-6. It might help to paint the payloads silver.

We are going to be using the 2.83" diameter wiffle balls. Hopefully the contest director will paint them yellow or orange.... Trying to decide between an AT D10 and a Quest D5... I'm going to have to sit down with Rocksim and play around with it....
