Drawing for Model Rocket Kits
Tickets are $2.00 each or 3 tickets for $5.00
Drawings will be held on the hour Friday and Saturday
All proceeds go to support Olympic Peninsula Rocketry 4-H

KIDS Viper Duration Contest
Open to the Public
First 12 kids will receive one FREE Quest Viper kit and B6-4 motor
Sign up at Entry Table
Rules are simple:
Build the Quest Viper Kit , launch with B6-4 motor w/parachute, longest flight duration WINS!!!!
Launch on Saturday Aug 24, 2013 3:00 pm
Bragging Right Trophy will be Awarded to the winner


The Pasture Blaster Launch will officially get under way:

Friday August 23, at noon to 6:00 pm.
Flying will continue Saturday, August 24. 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The range will open again Sunday, August 25. 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The following will be supported for use at this event on this site:

Low Power, Mid Power and High Power Rockets
High Power will be under FAR 101/ Class I ONLY
Rockets up to 3.3 LBS including no more than 125 grams of propellant
Max. ALT. 3,000'

Free RV/ Tent Camping on-site
Comfort Station ( Port-a-Potty ) on-site
Rocket Vendor on-site
Food Vendor on-site Reasonable prices
Menu (as of 5/25/13 subject to change)

Pre-Flight Safety Brief before each day's Launch
All flights will require a launch card

Just a bump on this launch. I hope some of you local flyer's can attend.
 
I will be there, burn bans permitting.
I have Dave D. keeping an eye on the long range weather.

Also: Drawing for rocket kits is expanding. We have enough prizes to do one draw every hour on the hour starting Friday at noon till 6:00 and Saturday 9:00am till 6:00pm and a few extras that always show up. 4-H will not allow us to call it a Raffle so thus Drawing. Privatly we call it a DRaffle.:)

Oh BTW we do take donations from vendors here and on YORF and monies go to support Olympic Peninsula Rocketry 4-H. And WE thank you in advance

I checked on the burn ban .. With Jon Preston Park Ranger/Forester in Forks.We are go for launch for PB as the land is Private property not DNR land but we will not be having an evening camp fire if and only if the burn ban is still in effect. Pass it on.

Stopped into HCS today Michael and Don will be onsite Saturday with the New Estes Altimeters, Jolly Logic ALT 1 and 2, Small cameras, and a GPS data logger 1.1oz./15 gr. Dim.69.88 x 83.29 x 15.58mm, USB rechargeable battery,
48 track Channels, Compatible with Google Earth and more so check these item out at PB.
 
Thanks for putting on Pasture Blaster, it sure was fun! The contests were a lot of fun, except for the extreme wind shift on my spot landing attempt ,lol.

Mine too! I think it went from 5 to 15 while mine was in the air.

As the say dem's the breaks of the game.
OPROC was more than happy to host this launch. Totals attending 125 Total Flights 408.

Saturday was our big day with 200 flights in six hour with a two hour rain delay ( not to shabby ) many,many full racks.

Next year will be really special: Pasture Blaster 2014 5 and 10 Launch.
