Those cheap plastic parachutes still burn even with nomex protectors. Anyone know a source for sturdy, non-burnable parachutes?

I'll check them out. I fly LPR rockets so I do not need a large shoot.

I went with a 12" 1.7 ounce nylon chute from Top Flight Recovery LLC, but its so bulky it won't fit in a BT-50 tube. I asked for some suggestions, you might find this thread helpful.. https://www.rocketryforum.com/threads/my-12-nylon-chute-wont-fit.146402/

Top Flight Recovery LLC makes a 1.1 ounce lightweight nylon chute... here's a link.. https://topflightrecoveryllc.homestead.com/thinmil.html

I haven't ordered it. Contemplating making my own, more on that here.. https://www.rocketryforum.com/threads/scratch-built-chute.146566/

Give the TFR Thin Mill chutes a try you will really like them. Even if you do get a burn hole they still will hold together for many more flights.
