I've used one of these. Twice. But don't tell my wife. She only knows about the first time.

Giving some technical data, based on the label - it's an Apco MD20, which according to the Apco website would bring down over 300 pounds at about 17fps.

This is indeed a good 'chute for larger projects. It's likely lightweight nylon, so super sensitive to heat and friction, but with a properly designed recovery system, this would work really well in a large project. Those limitations are no different than C-9s and T-10s.
