Has anyone tried painting overtop of a few coats of Future?

I was thinking that the Future might make a very smooth self leveling undercoat. Something like 1 coat primer. Sand. Two coats Future. Then paint. Then Future again. Might be able to cut out the Balsa filling.

If no on has tried it I might try some experiments.

It say right on the bottle "Not to be used on bare wood".

It turns wood and paper brittle.

So probably NOT a good idea.

I was thinking of skipping the fill an finish, spray primer first, then the Future. I guess I will try it on some scrap balsa to see if it works.

Always a good idea. It's an empirical question.
