Is there any way to remove old paint besides the trusty palm sander? I bought an old NCR Archer and plan on refinishing it it is a dull yellow and black.

there are some laquers I have used before but it isnt worth it, they smell and are a ton of work, the palm sander is easier, just sand it down good and prime, you dont even need to take it all off

There's some heavy duty stripper, often sold as "marine" but it's incredibly harsh. You'd likely mess up the rocket too. Why take it all off? Sand it to a decent finish and primer over what's there.

I have found Acetone on a paper towel works well...just don't use it on plastic parts. :)
