Hi all, after doing a simulation in OpenRocket 15.03 I noticed my simulation results were different than the ones in the bottom left corner. Whats the reason for this?OpenRocket.png
P.S. Rocket looks weird due to TVC system
P.P.S Any recommendations as how to improve the apogee and stability of the rocket?

Thanks!

The difference in results is a known bug of OR 15.03.

Your rocket design is not statically stable, because OR doesn't consider the effects of your TVC system. The simulation reflects the result of an unstable flight (see the various plots of AOA etc.). If you want to estimate it's apogee, you need to add fake fins. Choose a negligble thickness and mass, so they wont influence frontal area or liftoff mass. They will probably still have some effect (interference drag, surface drag). Alternatively, you can try to increase the length of the launch rod/rail up to apogee to force the rocket stable. Check your results carefully, to see if those tricks have some unwanted side effects.
