I‘m thinking about performing Monte Carlo analysis using OpenRocket.

I saw the piece in the NAR Safety Officer training book about requiring Monte Carlo analysis when altitude predictions are greater than 90% of the waiver, with the idea that varying launch conditions and the variation in engine performance makes a single estimate suspect.

If the person who added this to the training book for NAR can share what they had in mind, that would be helpful.

After I posted my original question, I dug into the OR docs and ran across the Python script section, and the helpful Monte_carlo.py script. My specific motivation here is to do Monte Carlo analysis of stability for rockets with low speed off the rail.

To keep me from reinventing the wheel, has anyone attempted this (or a similar) analysis?

Thanks in advance for any ideas on this, or any alternative approaches.
