Rotary engine?

Looks like a compressor rather than an engine. I've seen diagrams elsewhere. The funky shapes of the rotors are such that they are in constant contact. Positive displacement, no backflow.

It is a roots blower. Can be used for compressing/pumping gases, or supercharging engines, etc.

Beat me to it by four minutes!

Cape Byron,
Wanna fit that into the Brumby for a little more boost off the line? :p

13,658 same place, different view.
Famous for the yearly high winds (100+ mph) and the inevitable reporters trying to stand in it.

Yes, it's a Jensen Interceptor. I went out with a girl who's father had one.

So did Dave Edmunds. The girlfriend thing, not owning a Jensen. Immortalised in 'Goodbye Mr Good Guy'. My wife hates my trivia absorbing mind but hey, it's what I was given.

I worked as a valet for a rich person in our community who threw a big party, and I got to drive an Interceptor out to a parking area. this was around 1974

Amazing car. Sharon's father was one of only three people ever to seriously threaten to kill me. He was in construction and gave me the old concrete shoes resulting from pregnancy story. Interesting. 🤔

When I was in high school I remember coming towards home and hearing my mom a half block away, screaming, ranting, raving, and then coming into the house and hearing about my older brother who had gotten a girl pregnant. It made me want to join a monastery

Pregnancy is God's way of telling you to take sex seriously.

Soup kitchen

Reminds me of The Soup Kitchen near Knoxville, TN, around 40 years ago. Don't know if it's still there, haven't been back that way for about 20 years. Huge stock pots with six kinds of soup each day. Chili, and (I think) chicken noodle or maybe vegetable beef were always on the menu, and they rotated the others from a list of 30+ varieties. Large bowl of soup, personal loaf of bread, and a drink for about $2 in the early 80s. It was absolutely a meal, not a snack. The line was always long, even out the door sometimes.

The owner/manager was always behind the counter serving it up. It was obvious that he enjoyed telling customers about the different soups; put his own bit of love into each batch. I've often thought that a place like that could make a go of it in almost any community. Just need someone like that owner to run the place.

#13,716 it's funny how people will raise such cane over something as explicitly sexually open in the world, but here we have a piece of art that nobody says anything about and is accepted by everyone.

A truly amazing sculpture, while it does contain nudity, it is most definitely not sexually explicit.
