11965 - we have one that tours the neighbourhood.. We used to have dedicated machines for snow throwing. But these units are becoming the norm in municipal snow removal..

#12091,
Not bad, this one is only $941,175.60. I am pretty sure you could negotiate the .60 down a bit!
I can't buy a personal human-certified rocket either, but I do enjoy the craftsmanship in both cases.

Also: 🚀⌚ = spacetime 😁

Edit: I think those who buy these see the watch as an investment as much as a wearable. They're collectibles holding much of their value over time.

I hadn't seen a McD's #12,095 ash tray in a long time and the first that came to mind when I saw that photo is how we would use them as UFOs. Just one half, or two face to face. 😄🛸

Yes,

The 1st I've seen in the wild.
Yeah, I suppose seeing them around here (since they’re built in Renton) isn’t all that odd. I can’t say I’ve seen one anywhere else — yet.

That was a very interesting program to be a part of, and it worked well enough that I am still befuddled at how badly the 767 Tanker program has gone, even though the main management team from P-8A went up to Everett to work the tanker. Collaboration between the military guys and the commercial guys to make the P-8A (and -8I) was …. challenging at times.

I've seen them at Renton, but this was the 1st time I've seen one flying. I'm told we have the P-8 to thank for the
900ER, basically the strengthened P-8 wing and landing gear on the 900 body. A great combination.

Not exactly. It’s really the other way around. The initial P-8 concept was a -800-sized body but with the higher gross weight capability (therefore strengthened wing/gear) of the -900ER. By the time we were done with it, though, very little of that structural commonality was left. Between weapons (and related equipment) carriage and the strengthening needed to fly very fast but very low, the P-8 is really pretty much all new at the part number/assembly level relative to the “800/900ER hybrid with a few added bits” of the initial concept.

"Ardex was a small manufacturer of cycle / microcars in 30’s France with prodiction closing in 1955.
In the mid 50’s French engineer Max Sardou, acquired the marque and started to develop a prototype group 6 racing car in 1974, which was eventually entered into the 24hr of Le Mans in 1981, but failed to qualify.
During the period of development 1974-81, Sardou was involved with the Lola T600, IMSA BMW M1C racing projects together with the Ariane space programme.
With wedge shaped aerodynamic fiberglass bodywork, incorporating ground-effect ‘Venturi channels’, powered by a mid-mounted (next to the driver) BMW 3.5litre straight-six DOHC (270hp) engine with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Following its failure at LeMans the car appears to have been consigned to history."

B-57s were common electronic countermeasures/chaff targets for our squadron's F-106s at Minot, N. Dak.
I had the opportunity to see one do a "cartridge start" on our ramp one time. Thought it had caught fire and was on the verge of exploding... silly me.
