Old Estes Kit

Hi,
I have a Estes Jupiter -C # 1976
The top of the bag is stapled closed.
I was wondering if this is how the kit was sealed back then.
As I don't recall seeing any Estes kits sealed this way.

Are there any collectors out there who may know ?

Sounds like someone who previously owned the kit opened it and then stapled it back shut.

All the #1976 kits in my collection are heat sealed, but there are usually 2 staples holding the folded paper hanger strip to the bag.

Ps: its' not a bad 1/35 sport scale model either
