Tripoli Central Virginia's November launch has been postponed until next weekend (Nov 19 & 20). The remnants of Hurricane Nicole are forecasted to dump 2-4" of rain in the area, making the field too muddy to fly, even if winds and cloud cover cooperate. Watch the battlepark.org website for more information and updates for next weekend.

Tripoli Central Virginia's November launch is this weekend (Nov. 19-20). Field information, location and details can be found at https://battlepark.org/?post_type=tribe_events.

Everyone is welcome but if you plan on flying make sure your annual membership (or one day flight fees) are up to date on the website (battlepark.org). The soy beans and corn are still in the fields so consider a tracker or "screecher" to make recovery easier.

We're still 5/6 days out but the current weather forecast for the launch this weekend looks pretty good. It's going to be chilly but low winds and a lot of sunshine.

Anyone have particularly fun flights planned for this launch?

I visited the field this morning. It looks like the soybeans in the "main" field have been harvested and the ones in the field closet to the road have shriveled/browned significantly so that it shouldn't be too hard to find rockets in them. The corn is still in the field behind the flight line but it looks like a great weekend to launch.

See you out there!20221118_090005.jpg
