Here is a bit of a tip for gluing those knots.
Wood glue is too stiff and brittle for us Leather Crafter's for gluing things together to hold them until we sew them up.
So they make a glue especially for that purpose, which is pretty much the same as wood glue except it dries flexible and strong.
Just enough so the fibers in the Kevlar or Nylon doesn't crack under stress of the sudden shock of a chute opening.
