Really crappy thing happened last night. Scratch built Mini Mean Machine was done, so I decided to take a pic of it. Little bit of wind decided to tip it over and that bent the body tube right above the fins. Yeah, not a fun moment.

Cut out the kinked section, only 1.5" so no real loss. Put in a coupler and got it back together.

Didn't want to deal with trying to paint, and then saw a roll of aluminum tape on my desk. Filled the tube gap with cwf, then made a nice stripe from that tape. Done. Well, added 1/4" wide one on the rear end too. Think it looks even better with the tape than before.

This is probably not an original idea, but wanted to share. Hope someone can maybe use this sometime.

Great, good looking fix!

Years back, a Guitar making friend was just starting out at a small custom guitar shop.
He drilled a hold in the wrong location and eventually showed it to his boss.
His boss didn't get angry. He simply said: "Put a pearl inlay there."
Problem solved and the Bass sold with an extra custom upgrade.
