My buddy built a kit I gave him and for whatever reason it didn't have a retaining ring.
Engine hook only. I didn't know this factoid.
Well, the C6-5 ripped rite up thru and out.
Thing here is, it didn't tumble at all after blowing through the rocket.
It just keep on going n going straight under power, n delay (?) until it hit the deck.
Pictures show its projectorie.

Rocketry has a large degree in randomness variation; I've seen some of the most amazing things over the years.
This situation is one of those.
I launched a "skylab" model on a windy day once, and it weathervaned horizontal, flew right up in front of me, about three feet away. I was too surprised to move, lol.
It burned the whole C6-5, and popped the recovery as it fell to the ground.
Darndest I'd ever seen.
