I have had great success with 36awg Nichrome for my ignitors, but when I attempted to use the same 36awg Nichrome for e-matches for my altimeter and bp charges, it didn't even light them. What size Nichrome would be good to use? 40awg? I know 36 is .005" and 40 is .003". Any experience or suggestions?

I've never made any ignitors using bridge wires but I have had some success using the IgnitorMan kit. I tried making some ematches before and they failed miserably. It cost me a rocket and 2 altimeters! I learned my lesson. Ignitors are one thing but I'll leave the ematches to the professionals. In my opinion, it's not worth risking $100's of worth of electronics and other equipment for $1.50 ematch.

I'm sure there are some here who may disagree and some who've had success making their own ematches. Hopefully, they'll chime in here and let us all know how they're doing it.
