Got a couple of new tools to help with building the launch box.
A pair of "automatic" wire strippers. These things are great. They'll strip 14/3 solid wiring for a house and stripped those tiny wires that come on the piezo buzzers from Radio Shack; did cut one once, but stripped them successfully 5 times. There are wider ones, this one only gets three of the four wires on a trailer wiring harness in one go.
The multimeter is on sale at Radio Shack until the 29th. Regularly $30 on sale for $20. My old one, a small digital in a folding case one gave up the ghost recently and the comparable model is $30, so I saved $10 and got a better one. It doesn't close up and contain the wires, but.....
