I'm looking for good sites to learn building ideas and tips like what I'm reading in this forum. I've bought a few rockets and they seem really plan. I,m a tinkerer by heart and would like to do more than just follow the instructions:D

LOL!

THIS is the place!

Right here!

Brouse around the old threads, look at the pictures (we have lots of picture here...they are required!), see what can be done, even learn the mistakes we've all made.

Use the "search" function to find something specific.

See if someone has asked your specific question already and you will be dumbfounded at all the answers, links and comments!

Yep...This is the place!

A good place for a lot of tips on building and flying rockets is Essence's Rocket Review site. The URL for the tip library is:

https://www.rocketreviews.com/tips_library.shtml

Of course, there are a lot of rocket specific hints in the review section as well - it is a really valuable source all around.

as gpoehlein said, EMRR (rocketreviews.com) is a good resource. If you don't find the rocket you are interested in, look at some similar ones. You should also check out InfoCentral on https://www.rocketryonline.com/ (link in left hand bar).

Glad to have you on board!

I would also suggest buyng a copy of G Harry Stine's "Handbook of Model Rocketry" in order to give yourself a solid backgound in rocket design concepts and needs.

Once you understand the basics, it's off to the design table and workbench!!

BTW: Welcome to TRF. There is no better, more knowlegable, or friendlier rocket forum on the web.

It might be worth investing in some rocket software so that you can simulate your modifications, that way you can easily check that they're still going to be stable.

Hi Carson!! A big TRF welcome to ya. COme on in and sit a spell. :D

You have stumbled across probably a thousand or so years of experience in here. We got motor/engine experts, scratch builders, recovery experts...and over there in the corner are a few friendly vendors (large and small) who are always willing to help.

One of my favorite places to look around and find different links is one that somehow lead me here int he first place. But come on back because there is plenty to read right here!
