Hello to all. My 11yr old Grandson, Sawyer Miller, set a new national record Fathers day weekend. We were flying at a 2day regional meet, Thunder In The Desert, in Alamagordo,NM. He entered the Class A, D Superroc Duration contest. He flew his Sunward CFX 6 Footer on a D12-5. First flight time was 130.13 seconds. After the flight the competition direction told him if he could increase his second flight by about 40 seconds he had a shot at the record. Took out the 16" chute, put in a 22" chute and fired it off. This flight time was 219.74 seconds. Total points for the flights 27,808 broke the previous record of 25,508 points. Boy is he one happy kid.
I attached a pic of him and the rocket. Hope they come thru.

    Toms,

Congratulations to your 11 year old Grandson. I am sure you are both very proud. How were the weather conditions? I assume not much wind.

    Best regards,
    Brian

I don't know Sawyer but he should be 25 by now. And his record still stands. Very nice!
