Now for something completely different....
From the fertile and slightly twisted mind of my lovely Trudy comes something that, once viewed, will be urgently needed and deeply desired by all.

I give you......

THE ROCKET COZY!!

This particular version is known as the "Nom Nom" fish, and is displayed on the 3" Screemin' Green Max. Other versions will consist of sock caps (with ear-flaps and balls), snakes, birds and who knows what else.

The Rocket Cozy will be unveiled at Southern Thunder later this month. Any rockets pre-ordered for delivery at ST2009 will include a free Rocket Cozy and there may be a few for sale to the public. (The price is yet to be set)

So, act now and reserve your very own Rocket Cozy!!

Troy, he said her *mind* was fertile...

Sheesh, get your mind out of the gutter.:D

(There's supposed to be a ring and a wedding first anyway)

That is simply the coolest thing I have seen in a long time :D

I needed a reason to drag my behind out early for ST09... y'all better bring a good supply, I'm thinking these will be a big hit here in Tennessee

Are you guys showing up Friday or Saturday?

Thanks!! I'll be a'working on more weird rocket cozy ideas in the next weeks before Southern Thunder. We'll be there late Friday night, btw, so Saturday morning really. At least I thinks dat's da plan. I'm just the Art Department, at least offically. :)

In current demented plans are a Freaky Spiral, Da Pox, and the afore mentioned snake of unknown qualities. I'm just having fun being silly and seeing what I can come up with.

And before you ask, no, I was this demented BEFORE I met Layne.

See you at Southern Thunder! Don't forget to preorder if you want a cozy, and have any specific requests for one.

Troody

Hi Troody (and Layne)-

Very nice! I can't wait to see one.
It'll be great to see both of you again this year at Southern Thunder!

From last year-

Yet another flavor of Rocket Cozy has been added to the mix.

Behold, the "Great White North"!

Great WHite North on the left and Nom Nom Fish on the right.

*bonus points if anyone can name the characters inferred*
*Double bonus if you can sing the little tune*

If you redesign the fish to be placed from the bottom, you just might become known as the genius who figured out a way to keep the Rubicon and its fins together.:eyepop:

I feel like going out for some donuts...and beer! :p

I like the first one, though - The Fish That Ate Little Rock!

MarkII

Can you provide a rocsim file for those of us who might want to see what kind of drag these will cause to our rockets? :confused2:

Lol, j/k, they look good :)

That would be about the only way to keep a Rubicon's fins on....
But I will look into the problem.

Launch a rocket with the Cozy on.

You mean he's making clones of himself in that rocketshed workshop of his??? Oh NO! He and I are going to have a long talk now! We got too many other mouths to feed around here and y'all need to be buying lots more rockets before we's can have more around here to feed! Oh no! That man and I are definitely gonna be having a little talk now!

Trudy, Layne's squeeze

Like I told you before, Layne, you gotta hang on to this one. She's a keeper!

lol, still waiting on the rocket with the "ring" payload! :confused2: But i have high hopes it may be in production soon as a few other projects get off the bench.

Oh! And another Rocket Cozy has been finished: Minty Extrusion.
Pictures to come when Layne gets back home and around to it with the camera.
Imagine in the meanwhile a red and white peppermint spiral with twirly lines emerging from the top in a profusion of swirly minty goodness.
