Hello,

I am a mechanical engineer in Jacksonville, FL.

Was introduced to model rocketry for my senior project at the University of New Mexico. @SteelyEyed was a mentor of mine, and I fell in love with this hobby through him and my professor. Looking to be the next coolest rocket dood.

Anyone know of any cool rocket groups in Jacksonville?

Welcome! There might be an LP club in that area but the closest HP club is in Palm Bay Florida. There’s an annual launch near Tifton, Georgia right before thanksgiving every year. Turkey and grits. This year they are hosting NSL east.

Anyone know of any cool rocket groups in Jacksonville?

With I-10 nearby, you may find the regular SEARS launch in South Alabama reasonably convenient.

Hey shootin my shot here. Is there anyone around the Jacksonville area that would like to make maybe a group dinner or hang out and get to know one another?
