Just an idea for now. It shouldn't be too hard. The main
modification I'd make is to add some fins to the bottom
tanks. I'm thinking, 3in bottom dia, with a 3 deg angle
to the top. Cluster, of course.

What about doing it finless? Maybe offset the tanks a little more to give a bigger flair at the bottom. Just a thought. . .

It would work as a finless, long cone shape rocket as long as the CG is forward of 2/3 the distance from the forward tip. Cool idea to make a model of...

Might need more than that as long as the tanks are tilted in towards the bottom. Kick the aft out to one side, and the drag at the aft end on that side becomes less while the whole-body "base drag" becomes greater on the other side. It'd tend to loop.

But, get it going fast enough for base drag overall to keep it straight and it may work.

OR: have the tops of the tanks open? Tube rocket?

Goferit!

When I built my N-1, I had to have the motor recessed quite a bit
or a prohibative amount of nose weight to get it stable. Same
thing for the Sprint. That's why is was going with the extra fins.
Tube fins... I didn't even think of that.

here it is. I still haven't found my copy of ROCSIM yet, to check
the stability. I think it looks pretty good. Much better than the
pic.
