New head of NASA

It is official.

Griffin is gone. "Christopher Scolese, NASA's associate administrator, will serve as acting administrator until a successor to Michael Griffin has been nominated by the President and confirmed by the U.S. Senate. "

Nasa's bio also show "Editor's Note: Michael Griffin's tenure with NASA ended on Jan. 20, 2009. "

This a temporary.

Just times are a changing. Expect to see major changes very soon at NASA and their mission.

It's odd, I've been checking NASA's web site and my usual source (spaceflightnow.com), and there hasn't been a single word that I can find about the change of command. Except for the bio linked to above, that is.

By this point it is not new-news. Prior to inauguration there was a lot of articles on this, including a internal letter by Griffin stating he was resigning as of the 20th at noon.

Ohhhh... I completely missed all that. The last I heard was that his wife was doing some informal campaigning for him to get to keep his job.
