Hey all,

Just wanted to share some pictures of some grains I recently cast. These were the leftovers after casting grains for my K1200 motor.

The propellant is a new cold cast KNCP I've been working on. Hoping to evaluate performance soon.

Here is the two leftover grains. This stuff was great - in 30 minutes I went from nothing to grains ready to be cored.

What exactly is cold casting? I know the "standard" method is to melt the ingredients.

just like mixing regular propellant, use a binder that does not require heating. Edward can exapand, i dont want to bust in on his thread

Well, cold cast is like epoxy - you mix and it cures. No heat neccesary. Hot casting you melt the components together and then let cool to form a homogeneous mix.
