DFR Tech's Atlas V is an approximate 1/92th scale flying model of the United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (EELV).

Atlas Vs have been in service since 2002 and launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida and Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.

This is a kit of the Atlas V 401 which launched the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter / Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite (LRO/LCROSS) mission on June 18, 2009.

DFR's kit employs new technology parts and processes. The ABS plastic parts in this kit are made on-site at DFR Technologies using a professional grade 3D Printer. The 3D printed parts include the highly detailed tail cone and other small detail parts. Additional features of this kit are laser-cut clear fins and pre-wrapped vinyl body tubes.
