Just got a copy of the new book call "Liftoff" The Early Days of SpaceX, it hit the market on 3/2/21.

Very interesting read so far on how Musk pulled it together, not a real big fan of his. But I will give him credit going up against the likes of Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop, NASA, and our own Air Force.

I can understand how somebody like that would interview and hire his closest staff but he personally interviewed and hired his first 3,000 employees.

Say what you want about the guy but he does have some real panache

Yep page 21, Let me rephrase that 'He personally met with every single person the company hired through the first 3000'

I don't know where the author got that figure (creative license?) but it's, unfortunately, not true. (Or at most, Elon only met 2,999 of the first 3,000 employees hired.)
