Ed + iPad... I LOLed.

Just got back a few minutes ago, will pull photos and post (and e-mail to ya, Joel) when I get the chance. I had a great time, the event was really run well. Major hat tip to Wayne Anthony and Greg Gardner for pulling great LCO stints on Saturday and Sunday, too.

Ed and the iPad was a riot

Thanks again David

Here's a few of mine. As usual, apologies for Automator blurring a little on the resize, but they all came out decently.

Diehl's 3D printed ABS rocket, on a D12 (later flown on a CTI G100):

GaryT's Albatross on a central M3500, later to airstart 3 J381SKs, definitely a highlight:

Wildman and CJ's ill-fated (twice) two stager. Great boost, but CJ forgot to set the Mach delay on the sustainer...

Joel's 4" rocket on a 3300 Skid (L2000, elicited several expletives from the crowd):

Here's 2 more.

Did anyone get any pictures or video of my 2 stage on Sat?
I tried to shoot video with my camera but it was out of focus.

Had a great time - hoping to get to another METRA launch this year. Did the club happen to pick up a clip whip (3-motor) from the LP pads? Too busy trying to track my rocket to remember it!

My group had a fun experience at NERRF7 as always. Thanks to all folks that worked hard to put on this great event.

I wondered if anyone has photos or video of my Red white and blue Bruiser EXP going up Sunday afternoon to share or post. She flew on Aerotech K1275 Redline and then air started two 38mm 6 grain J CTI skidmarks ?

Cheers
John ..

Anybody get a shot of my mach Gizmo (red with the white nose cone)? It went off late Sunday on a K2045....not a bad maiden flight! All I got was the smoke.....

Did anyone get any pictures of my L3 flight, the LOC/Precision Big Nuke 3E? It was silver and black. I am also looking to see if anyone got pictures of my other Big Nuke on a K550, which flew Sunday morning or my Predator Jr. on the H123 Skidmark.

Flis had something special with this flying contraption:
I call it: The Flying Streamer of Doom

Hey, I that was a great flight! :) Here's what it looked like going up (hope someone has some better pix or a vid). Going to do this again at NARAM :)

Other pix here show the staging event of the Frick-n-Frack as well as a historic drag race between the classic Estes Big Bertha and the FlisKits Rhino!

Good weekend and the weather actually held out!

My son and I inaugurated an Upscale Deuce Wild. At 8 lb 2 oz it flew to 665 feet on two Cessaroni G125 Red Lightning motors. The second flight on two H163 White Thunder motors went to 750 ft.

We plan to fly it again at the CMASS Fliskits launch in Sept.

Thank you to METRA for a fun and well-run launch.

For those of you who attended NERRF and those who missed it, you can re-live the event at ROCKETS Magazine. There are over 3600 photos posted.

Thanks Neil, lots of really great pictures. I got copies of my two flights on Saturday.

I've never been to the TN field that you speak of....
It seems that they have more trees in the general area than we do..

Here's the coordinates of the field from Google Maps

41.324104,-74.465175

JD

The field looks very comparable in size to the field in Manchester TN for southern thunder, anyone confirm this? Also does anyone have a pano pic of the field?

My fiance surprised me with my copy of the DVD. I got it yesterday. I agree with you, Gary, great job on the DVD.

Gary, What happened with your EZI-65?

OK, I am going to go and watch it again.

The J140WH and its 8.5 second burn time proved to be too much for the EZI, All 3 fins were ripped off at the body tube lol.
