NCR Launchmaster

I was just browsing the Apogee website, and came across the NCR Launchmaster launch controller. It's supposed to be a heavy duty launch controller for MPR. It uses a 7.2V high capacity NiMH battery, and I guess "heavy duty" means it's physically tough.

But it casts $129.99, and that's without said battery. WTH?! Can anyone tell me why this is supposed to be worth a hundred and thirty bucks?
