Oop. I'm looking at the wrong one it seems. I was looking at the LOC 38mm Retainer. I'll get the Aero Pack 38mm Retainer on order. Thanks for the help! @Adam3836

Giant Leap Rocketry Slimline screw on motor retainer.
Do you have enough motor tube sticking out past that big fillet? Usually I don't add a fillet there because I want the retainer flush with the centering ring.
I realized this sort of after the fact I placed the fillet. It’s not a big deal as I’ll sand most of it down at a later date.

After a long awaited update, I finally ended up finishing the Zephyr rocket. I sanded, painted, sanded some more, and added the finishing touches with stickers! What a great looking rocket! I’m so pleased with how it turned out! Now it’s time to go to NARAM-63 to fly this bad boy for my Level 1 Certification!

What a day! I attended NARAM-63 on Thursday, July 21st, 2022. Ended up launching the Zephyr on a Aerotech H283ST Super Thunder. Proud to say the launch was a success and now I’m Level 1 Certified! Thank you to everyone following and helping along the way! Now, on to Level 2 Certification!

Congratulations! I'm finishing up my own Zephyr for an L1 cert attempt in the coming months. Just have to finish paint and graphics, and then do final button-up tasks. I can't wait to launch it, and it's been helpful so have so many videos of Zephyrs flying with various motors to help with motor selection.
Thank you! One thing that I and many others noticed is that it’s such a sturdy build. Obviously going slow and steady is preferred for your first attempt, but I wouldn’t be surprised seeing it handle some bigger motors. Best of luck on your launch day!

We have the Princeton U rocket club fly L1 certs at our field and they use the H283 in Zephyrs. This works very well.

Congratulations and great choice of rocket. I certified in November with a Zephyr. It's excellent for L1 cert flight and sport flying.

Congratulations! I got my L1 on the Zephyr as well. Your next step is to get the Dual Deploy segment where the fun REALLY starts!
