Mythbusters The Search

Has anybody been watching Mythbusters The Search? I just can't get into it. More melodrama than science, and no on-screen chemistry from any of the "candidates". And who is the annoying long haired spokesperson/host?

I'm saving my opinion till they settle on the final 3 or 5, or what ever the final number is, I don't know. Yeah, just what are the long hairs credentials?
And rasta man needs to go.

I do find it kind of interesting but the contest is getting in the way. I guess it is a necessary evil due to the premise of the show but i miss the variety of the Mythbusters episodes. Hopefully, we will see more of this as the field shrinks.

I disliked it 10 minutes into the first show, but stuck with it. Still can't say I love it (maybe I don't love the 'reality game show' idiom...), but it's still set to record on the DVR.

So far they've just revisited just a bunch of old lame fictional myths. Surely Jamie and Adam couldn't have done everything that was suggested to them. Seems like they (the producers) could come up with something new. Thank god for recorded TV. I can FF thru the boring stuff.

Yeah, I'll keep watching too, see it through to the end. I still don't have high hopes for it, though.

I think the thing that bothers me is they somehow took a group of people with singular talents (which is what made the original so compelling) and made them seem interchangeable and replaceable, to be forced into a ranking and eliminated one by one. It's like they put the drama from my job into my favorite tv show and thereby sucked the fun out of it.

No interest. The Mythbusters were Adam, Jaime, Keri, Grant, Tori and Scottie. Whatever gets cranked out of this mess won't be the Mythbusters.
