OK - I bought a PNC-55 nose cone set from Estes and got two of these cones in the package - what the heck are they and what rockets have they been used in?

I've been staying away from those because I can't find a use for them either.

Weird cones and attachments like this make for really neat boat tails and such. The parts for my smoke can came from a Black Brant leftover.

Sounds like a challenge to me! ;)

I am sure there are other guys who do.
In fact, I'll bet you could take the unused (unwanted?) Sidewinder pieces and auction them on R.O.L. and pick up enough cash to pay for the entire package of NCs

It doesn't cost anything to submit a listing on R.O.L.---you should try it

Mabey build a D power sidewinder with one , cool rocket!

You sure they are parts for a Sidewinder and not an OOP <a href="https://www.tripolimontana.org/demery/Images/Python2.jpg">Python</a>?

Python had a really odd sized nose cone. 1.8" in diameter.

Nope...that's the Sidewinder all right!

Same shape as the Python cone but smaller.

The Python was the first thing to enter my mind when I saw those cones. Why not build a down-scale Python?
