Just a little help with the questions JRThro gave you .

I'd say if it's gonna fly on 18/24mm motors I'd use a 18" nylon/ripstop 'chute. 24" would be a bit to much ( Only if your planning on a parachute duration )

Where as if it had a 29mm motor mount , 24" would be the only option.

Ok, as for the painting. Im going to sand it a bit so its smoother but not totally round. I like its rough look. Ill just probley put some stain on it and clear coat it. Right now without Nosecone it weighs 4.2oz. I have sandman making me a custom nosecone that will fit in a BT-60 but extend out to the edge of the sticks.
It has a little more then 4 inches of BT-60 up top for the chute. After I get the cone and get a total weight Ill work on recovery. Ive gone with 24mm motor mount, I did this at the start due to not knowing what the weight would be. Hell I dont know if it will fly but I cant wait to give it a shot. Its been fun to build.
