Hey all-
OK OK I know I stink at taking photos!!! But I gave it a try....
I dont normally do this, but I had a rocket come out so good (to me) I wanted to post the photos on the forums. For the first time in my life I really am kind of thinking the "its to pretty to fly" thoughts, but I know this is not going to happen and I know it defeats the whole point of the hobby. ANYWAY I think I should have done a build Thread. It is mostly all stock aside from a few cuts here and there. It sports an Aerotech baffle systems with a Kevlar lanyard. Also, the top portion of the smaller main body tube is tightly friction fitted to the mid-point coupler. That way if it gets damaged, zippers or whatever, I simply pull it off and replace with a newly painted section. I have done this on a lot of rockets and it works great....even on my larger HP projects. If anyone wants the extra parts list let me know. I built one of these a few years back but gave it away! (I was moving). I later saw a photo of it and missed it badly. SO I took my LAST Ventris kit and went to work. I am also thinking of an upscale. And nope, the side pods do not have motor mounts. Cant mix composite with BP and I am not going to do a three motor cluster using composite motors!
ALSO, concerning the small kit to the right (next to my Ventris Bash). I got this years ago from a hobby shop. I have looked in old catalogs...but I have no idea what kit this is. I am assuming it is Estes as the snap/twist fin can because it is identical to the ones on the crayon rockets. NOTE: the black fin can in the photo IS from a Crayon rocket. The original is/was CLEAR. It got bent/broke so I am using this one. Anybody know this kit?
NOTICE!!! The Photos are in links a few posts down. Sorry about that! I finally learned how to do all this.
