I remember the first time I saw the Southern Cross... as an adult. I can't remember the first time I saw it... I was too young. The memories it brought back were staggering.


I was walking on the beach at ʻAnaehoʻomalu Bay ("A Bay" for those who cannot pronounce it), and the moment I recognized those stars from when I was a keiki, the memories dropped me to my knees.

You know in Australia we made Fords, Holdens, Toyotas, Citroens, Chryslers, Studebakers (really), Volkswagens et al, and now you can't buy an Australian made car.
