As I recall, back in the 60's, producers on both sides of the Atlantic covered each other's hit productions, often in instrumental form. The Brit, Andrew Oldham was one such. Here is Oldham's production of Don't Worry Baby, a top hit of the Beach Boys, which in turn was surely inspired by Phil Spector's production of Be My Baby.

 
Baby I Love You, Ronettes hit from the early 60's, backing track only, minus strings. In Junior High School, I got my earliest strange longings when I encountered girls dressed and coiffed like this in the lunchroom!!
