Picked these up the other day from some random source...
I don't know why other than just because. I did fly a B14 back when I got into rocketry as a kid. I think I used it as the first and second stages of the Arrow 300 which I think I flew once and never saw again...

Wow, those are very cool! I love the graphics. I remember those packages from when I first started flying. I had a paper route and almost all my money went to rockets. It was a very reliable 7 or 8 business days from when I sent in my order to when the package from Estes would show up I got to know the delivery driver pretty well. (Can't remember if it was a mail truck or UPS.) My mom would get mad at me because I would often build all the models at once. She would argue I should space them out so I could enjoy it more.

Those old packages always fit better in my range box (tackle box) when I was a kid.

You gonna fly these Adrian? Can’t think of too many suitable two stage rockets that would benefit from an A8-0 but I suppose it would be good for a small field launch.
Hear a rumor Estes May bring back the B14 but might just be someone hoping.

Sounds like the A8-0 is good for trying not to lose the 2nd stage of a 3 stage rocket.

Several folks asked about the B14 at NARAM, but it's not in their current plan

Us old farts will remember the blue engine mailing tubes that were used before the diamond-shaped package. At one time Estes even sold a nose cone for the mailing tube, so you could make a rocket out of it. Kinda heavy and thick-walled though.

I do have a Estes mini Honest John hidden on my dining room table somewhere. I could finish it for the 1/2A-3’s. At least I think those are 13mm, right? I just wanted the B-14’s.

I have some G55W's and G110T's. I am building a new Mini Fat Boy to replace the one I lost a few years ago. Flew that one on a G55, then again on a G110. That was wicked! Maybe I can get it done for LDRS.

Also have some F55's... I picked up some LOC mini kits for those :)

“T’s” were 13mm, wasn’t the “S” the short 18mm motor?

Yup. There were 1/4A and 1/2A motors, but I don't think they had A motors. I'm sure the S motors were convenient to make, since they used the same casings as all the others, just an inch shorter.

I had the Astron Midget (sorry for any offense, but it just wasn't the Astron LittlePeople :)) Two-stage with S motors. Flew it once. Did okay except that the first stage wasn't as unstable coming down as I'd have liked.

LOVE the G55

wish they would bring that one back. that and the E25.

nice to take a step down from the "big stuff" every now and again. those flights (when successful) are still immensely satisfying.
