On a rocket mostly finished with spray paint, and now requiring both Monokote stripes and a clear coat, would you:

a. Apply the clear coat first and finish with the Monokote/Ultracote stripes.
b. Apply the Monokote/Ultracote stripes first, and finish up with the clear coat over everything including over the Monokote/Ultracote stripes.

Thou art thanketh.
(yeah ... I think that works ... 🤔)

I'd test either method out on some scrap material first. My guess is b. would be ok, but I've not tried it.

I've never used monokote trim, but for vinyl (such as Stickershock) I always do B and not A

Clear last to seal the stripes. Painted monokote a lot. Like to scuff it with a maroon scotchbrite pad first.
