I think it took a month or so to unbox, so based on that Art might get it built by sometime in 2011....maybe.

Hey, give the guy a break. :) This is the "unboxing" thread, it has nothing to do with building the thing.

It aught to be out of the box by July or so. :D

Let me guess: you built it, flew it on one of those homebrew
motors, and it suffered an Earth shattering kaboom!

How about a nice close up photo of the mailing label or return address?

And you opened the box and there wasn't anything there or everything inside had turned to dust from old age? :p

Jeff, you must have been watching one of my other videos ;)

BUT, the contents of this box was not part of that "Earth Shattering KaBoom" that Roger was waiting for that did not happen.

He he. As I recall, in the earlier thread, after
a couple of pages of discussing various aspects
of the unboxing, someone said, "Art, I'd hate to watch
you build a motor. It must take hours." So you posted
a video of you and your friends building a motor. You
have to repost the link to the video, it was really funny.

Here are the un-baged parts that were in the box that the postman brought, way back when, I can't remember the day.

And here is the pipe that will power it some day soon

monpipe.jpg

Hmmm....

That pipe seems to have a slight bend to it.

Almost like it met soft surface repeatedly.....

Hi Kevin,
you have a good memory.

However the pipe your thinking about that someplace in Texas was subjected to the treatment you describe in 2006 by someone other then me in international company was about 42" long. Jim still has it at home for nostalgic purposes; or a mandrel maybe. I've yet to ask for it back.

This one is only ~30" long.

What are those disks made of different types of CF on the white mat? Bulkheads?

No wonder it takes 2 years to open a stinking box--Bud Light--give me a break. Give me your address, and I will send you a 6-pack of Coors--Coors Light, if you prefer--it contains no rice--unlike the swill you drink.

Hi,
those are Carbon Fiber bullkheads for the ebay and nose cone. They look different on each side. That might explain why some look different.

Hi,
I do drink Coors Light at times and have even presented Pat with a 12 pack of such.

Hope this dispells my taste "only" for swill ;)

Sometimes I'll drink a beer snob beer like Bells Best Brown.

Hey, Art?

I'll sacrifice and write up the build thread for you.

Once you finally get it fully unboxed, you can do a mailing thread, and get it to me, then I'll do the build thread.

Maybe we can get Richie da K to do the flying thread?

(Assuming he doesn't Quit Rocketry again)

There is a house just down the street from me where every Friday (recycle day) they have about 3 recycling bins full of Bud Light bottles. If you're not sure if you hear the big truck or not, the sound of clunking empties is a dead give-away.

We found out the nose cone is not carbon fiber, it does not conduct like the other parts do on a ohm meter.

It does have a metal tip that screws into it
