Michiana Rocketry Members and Friends
Just a reminder that we will be having our scheduled February 9th launch this coming Saturday at our field in Three Oaks, MI.
STATUS IS CURRENTLY A GO
The weather forecast so far seems to be looking good for our Saturday launch, low winds 4 mph, partly sunny in the morning clearing to mostly to full sun by early afternoon. A little chilly high of 27 Degree F temperature so dress for warmth, but we are all from the Midwest so we are used to a little cold, although we are having a heat wave as compared to last week
The launch on Saturday will be starting about 1 hour later than usually to give the Temperature a little more time to warm up. So, set up will be at 10 am and flying from 11 am to 4 pm. Note that since we are close to the shortest day of the year and the sun will setting shortly after 5:30 pm we may end this launch around 4:00 pm to have time to pack up the equipment before dark, so if you are planning a certification flight you need to get this done earlier in the day as you don’t want to be looking for your rocket in the dark.
You can go to our website to check what available equipment and launch pads that will be on site. We will have a porta potty on site. We are about 1 hour east of Chicago
