Bringing what I did not fly @ NERRF for Saturday.

I'm trying to decide if I want to try my Callisto/I49 combo. Something about a 48" long 2.5" diameter rocket at almost 7K gives me a bit of cold feet....

I may chicken out and just throw in a big H motor.

Other than that ->

Binder Design Galaxy on an Al Gonsalves Mystery J Motor in a 38-740 or a J525LW

Mini BBX on either a H210 or I200

BBX on a J540

I'll be there with the Darkstar Ultimate on an AT-KBA M3500. Should go to about 8,000'

I'll be bring my Bruised and Abused on Sunday hope to fly it on an L1200 and 2 J330 air-started. It should hit close to 6k.

Darkstar went to 8,046 on the At-KBA M3500. Love that motor!!

What a absolutely perfect day

Upper 80's -> almost calm -> perfectly clear.

Got four off myself

  • Callisto dual deploy mod - G69N - about 1500'
  • Gslaxy on a J-something Red Max - 2500'
  • BBX on a J350 - looked like about 2,000'
  • Mini BBX on an H210 - about 1300'

If you did not make it to Metra this weekend, you missed a great launch. We finally had a weekend with perfect weather on both days. The turnout was modest - no waiting for pads. The sky was clear and the winds were light. It was a little hot on Saturday. Sunday was a little cooler and less humid. I have to remember to drink more water on those hot days. My M flight went to 9300 and my L flight went to 9800. A good time was had by all. See you next month.
