Hi everyone!

I'm looking into making my own deployment bag, and I can't find any ressources online. I've seen packing deployment bag tutorials, and buying deployment bags (mostly from Fruity Chutes) that give me a pretty good idea of what it looks like, but I can't find a single "pattern" to sew it, or some help regarding the dimensions you want to make your deployment bag (I assume it's dependent on the parachute's volume).

Essentially, I'd love to know if there is a "How to make deployment bags" tutorial, or some kind of ressource on the sewing procedure and dimensions.
I've seen the Fruity Chute ones are made in Nomex, but it seems to be quite an expensive textile, and I've heard using my parachute's ripstop isn't ideal because it's quite fragile. Do you people have any advice on that too?

This is my first post here so apologies if it doesn't follow protocol, please tell me and I will fix it.
Thanks a lot for all the potential help!

P.S. Probably important to specify some details. It is a 5m diameter parachute with 16 (or potentially 12) gores, packed into the deployment bag and brought out by a pilot chute.

There are lots of sites and threads on TRF that explain deployment bag, how to make them and how to use them.

This is an excellent site

My advice, make sure the attachment to the bag that the pilot chute is attached to is very solid. My pilot chute also brings the nosecone down so it's much larger that what you would usually use. The stresses on the attachment point is much larger than you might expect.
